Hearings and Other Proceedings Remain Limited; Public Access Is Restored

Senior Resident Superior Court Judge L. Todd Burke has amended his earlier order closing the Forsyth County courthouse after an employee tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Now that the courthouse has been disinfected, the courthouse will reopen to employees today (April 27, 2020), and will reopen to the public on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. The Bookkeeping Department will remain closed until May 4, 2020.

Hearings and many other proceedings remain subject to the restrictions imposed statewide by the Chief Justice: At this time, most proceedings remain suspended, continued, or tolled through June 1, 2020.

The Forsyth County Hall of Justice will reopen to the public on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.  However, at this time, most proceedings remain suspended, continued, or tolled through June 1, 2020 by the order of the Chief Justice.
